The Order Defect Rate (ODR) is a key measure of your ability to provide a good customer experience. It includes all orders with one or more defects represented as a percentage of total orders during a given 60-day time period.

Amazon’s policy is that sellers maintain an ODR under 1% in order to sell on Amazon. An ODR above 1% may result in account deactivation.

PSI helps ensure that production complies with the specification, contract, or purchase order. A final random inspection (FRI) checks finished products, often when at least 80% of an order has been produced and export-packed. Samples are selected at random, according to standards and procedures.

What Content will be checked during FBA pre-shipment inspection?

1. Labelling

The label needs to have a white background, be clearly readable, and contain accurate product information. It should also be easily scannable. All Amazon barcodes must be printed in black ink on white, non-reflective labels with removable adhesive. Dimensions must be between 1inch x 2 inches and 2 inches x 3 inches 

2. Packaging

Use a rigid, six-sided box with flaps intact.

Use a single address label that has clear, complete delivery and return information.

Every box you include in the shipment must have its own FBA shipment label printed from your Shipping Queue.

Each pallet requires four labels, one on the top center of each side.

3. Workmanship and Function Test

-No signs of cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, etc.) should be noticeable when the product is held 12 inches away.

-Each product must be inspected, repaired (if applicable), cleaned and tested to function and look like new.

- Products must include all accessories that come with a new equivalent.
